The Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences is a 4.5-year academic programme followed
by a 1-year internship — 6 months departmental and 6 months in allopathic settings —
making a total of 5.5 years. BNYS graduates are recognised as medical practitioners and
are permitted to use the Dr prefix, equivalent to MBBS in the field of naturopathy.
BNYS is one of the most popular naturopathy and yoga courses in India and introduces
students to holistic yogic practices and ancient lifestyle medicine. The programme
comprises a balanced curriculum of ancient yogic and alternative medicine practices as
well as modern naturopathic treatments.
At Divine College of Medical Sciences in Haridwar — a city deeply rooted in Ayurvedic and
yogic traditions — the BNYS programme offers a uniquely immersive environment for students
to learn and practice natural healing. The programme is affiliated to the Ministry of AYUSH
and approved by Uttarakhand Ayurved University.
