About B.Sc. Nursing

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum age 17 years on 31st December of the admission year.

10 plus 2 passed with Science — PCB and English — with minimum 45% aggregate marks from a recognised board.

Boards accepted: AISSCE, CBSE, ICSE, SSCE, HSCE or equivalent.

Students appearing in 10 plus 2 through National Institute of Open School with 45% marks are also eligible.

Student must be medically fit at the time of admission.

Admission process: Direct. Admission once per year.

Types of Nurses in Highest Demand

Registered Nurse (RN) A nurse who has completed a nursing programme and obtained a nursing licence from a government-authorised licensing body. Scope of practice is determined by legislation and regulated by a professional council.

ICU Registered Nurse Highly specialised and trained to provide nursing care to patients suffering from potentially fatal illnesses. Provides specialised knowledge and skills required to survive or de-escalate care.
