Important Guidelines

Examination Rules

All students appearing for examinations at Divine College of Medical Sciences must read and follow these rules carefully. Violation may result in disqualification or disciplinary action.

Eligibility
Only students who have met the minimum attendance requirement of 75% are eligible to appear for exams. Students must have cleared all dues and registered for the examination in advance.

Identification
Students must carry their college ID card and admit card (if issued) to the exam hall. Entry without proper identification is not permitted.
03
Punctuality
Students should report to the exam hall at least 15 to 30 minutes before the scheduled time. No student will be allowed to enter the hall 30 minutes after the exam has started.

Stationery and Materials
Students must bring their own pens, pencils, calculators (if allowed), etc. Sharing of materials during the exam is strictly prohibited.

Electronic Devices
Mobile phones, smartwatches, earphones and other electronic devices are not allowed in the examination hall. Carrying or using such devices may lead to disqualification.

Seating and Conduct
Students must sit only in their designated seats as per the seating arrangement. Absolute silence must be maintained — any form of communication is prohibited.

Use of Unfair Means
Cheating, possession of unauthorised materials, copying from others or helping others is considered a serious offence. If caught, students may be removed from the exam hall, given a zero in the subject, barred from future exams and subject to disciplinary action.

Question Paper and Answer Sheet
Students must check that they have received the correct question paper. Answer books must be properly filled with roll number and other required details. Do not write your name or any personal information on the answer sheet unless instructed.

Leaving the Examination Hall
Students may not leave the exam hall in the first 30 minutes or during the last 15 minutes. Temporary exits for restroom use must be accompanied by an invigilator.

Submission
Students must stop writing immediately when time is called. Answer sheets must be submitted to the invigilator before leaving the hall.

College Campus

Rules and Regulations for College

The college gives utmost priority for discipline and every student and staff member is bound to follow the rules and regulations of the college and maintain strict discipline.
Under disciplinary action, the Principal is empowered to fine, suspend or even expel a student from the college in the interests of the institution.
Students attendance in class must be 75% and clinical attendance must be 100%. This is compulsory for all courses.
Students are not permitted to possess or use mobile phones inside the college campus.
Browsing is not allowed during lab hours. Staff and students are not allowed to misuse the internet facilities.
No one will be allowed to listen to music from any device inside the college campus.
Every student shall conduct himself or herself in such a way to cause no disturbance to the working of the classes or to fellow students.
Ragging, consuming alcohol and smoking are strictly prohibited in the hostel and college campus.
No function shall be arranged by students in the hostel or college campus without prior permission from the Principal.
Students are not allowed to exchange greeting cards, photographs, gift articles or letters with students of the opposite sex.
Writing on walls, pillars, bathrooms, furniture or blackboards is strictly prohibited.
The cost of any damage caused to college property will be charged to the account of the student responsible, in addition to disciplinary action.
Students are advised to switch off fans and lights when they leave the classrooms. Furniture in the classrooms should not be moved or displaced.
No one will be allowed to whistle, hoot, shout or sing aloud in the college campus or while travelling in the bus.
No student shall remain in the hostel during class hours unless he or she is sick and is permitted to be on leave.
Students have to take without fail all necessary items such as hall ticket, admit card, pen, pencil, calculator, scale, rubber etc. to the test or exam hall.
Students will have to sit through the entire period scheduled for the internal tests and university examinations.
In the event of continued poor performance in internal tests and poor class attendance, the Principal has the authority to withhold permission for a student to write the university examinations.
All students must follow their line of authority for any communication and will participate in all curricular activities organised by the nursing college.

Hostel Campus

Rules and Regulations for Hostel

Meal timings — Morning Tea: 08:00 AM to 09:00 AM. Lunch: 01:00 PM to 02:00 PM. Dinner: 07:00 PM to 08:00 PM. No one is permitted to keep, prepare or bring non-vegetarian food in any form.
Taking food out of the mess or bringing outside food into the mess or hostel is strictly prohibited.
Staying in the hostel during class hours without prior permission or information is punishable.
No student is allowed to go outside the hostel after 08:00 PM and before 05:00 AM. Students must inform authorities before leaving the hostel premises.
Use of any intoxicating substances — cigarettes, drugs, tobacco, alcohol, gutka, etc. — is strictly prohibited in the hostel premises.
Students are not allowed to change their rooms without written permission. Switching rooms or roommates is not allowed.
Students should not put posters, notes, stickers or unauthorised signs on room doors, windows or walls.
No outsiders — friends, relatives or guests — are allowed to stay in the rooms.
Misuse or damage of hostel-provided beds, furniture or tables, or writing on them is strictly prohibited.
Students are expected to keep their rooms and surroundings clean, tidy and organised. Dirty or wet clothes must be dried only in designated areas.
Students must maintain the mattress given to them. If damaged or lost, a fine of Rs. 500 must be paid to get a replacement.
If any property of the institution or hostel is damaged, the cost will be recovered from the student responsible.
Do not misuse electricity and water. When leaving the room, ensure fans, tube lights etc. are switched off and doors and taps are properly closed.
Possession and use of smartphones, cameras, recorders, video or audio devices or any kind of weapons, sharp objects or dangerous materials are strictly prohibited.
No electrical appliances like heaters, music systems, gas cylinders, blenders or kettles are allowed in the hostel rooms.
Hostel rooms can be inspected at any time and the cooperation of students is required.
It is mandatory not to keep any valuables, jewellery or cash in the hostel. In case of loss, the student will be solely responsible.
Students must follow all notices issued by the hostel administration and be present at all meetings and gatherings held from time to time.
It is mandatory to report to the hostel office with parents or guardians within the specified time when called.
In case a student or their roommate suffers from a contagious illness, it is mandatory to inform the hostel administration immediately.
Any kind of parties, celebrations, birthdays, loud music, shouting, debates and fights are strictly prohibited in the hostel.
Modesty in clothing should always be observed both inside and outside the hostel. Students must follow traditional Indian dress codes.
